Login or Signup for VidyardIn today’s digital world, people’s inboxes are getting crammed full of emails. So if you’re sending a text-based message that looks just like every other email, your chances of getting noticed are slim.
To create an eye-catching pitch that will stand out from others and persuade your prospect to actually book a meeting, consider a 90 second pitch. This kind of template uses a personalized video to provide an introduction, a quick overview of a customer story, and a call-to-action in less than 90 seconds.
First, do your research on your prospect. This means finding out information about your prospect, what their company does, and the problem they’re having.
From there, leverage resources to bring your research all together. This means looking at customer stories that may be similar to the problem the prospect is having. By doing this, you’re providing a real-life working example that can back up why your product or service is the perfect solution.
Then, it’s time to script your pitch. For the perfect 90 second (or less) pitch, aim to spend 15-30 seconds on introducing yourself and why you’re reaching out. Then, segway into the resource and talk about it for about 30-50 seconds. Lastly, provide a call-to-action at the end which should be 10-15 seconds.
The final step is to use a video tool like Vidyard to start recording. Leverage the screen + camera recording option so you can show your face while also sharing your screen of the prospect’s company website (this will definitely catch your prospect’s attention especially if you include it in the video thumbnail). Make sure you also have the resource up and running for easy access as you talk.
When you’re done, just embed the link and an eye-catching thumbnail in the email. Add some body text to provide additional context (but keep it short—let the video do the talking) and wrap it up with an interesting subject line.
The 90 second pitch template is great to use before the initial discovery call. Again, because prospects’ inboxes are getting bombarded by so many emails, the only way to book that discovery call is to stand out with a unique video pitch catered to them.
